Lankford Bay Marina was started in 1950 by Tom and Leona Edwards. At the time, it was called Edwards Boatyard and was just a place for Tom, a waterman, to haul his boat for painting between seasons. From those beginnings, it grew to the marina it now is. Doug, Captain Tom's son, and Barbara Edwards are the current owners and managers of the Marina.
